Who is Eligible
Clinicians or lay persons interested in applying the study of family systems theory of the human to your personal and professional life. You will use the groundbreaking theory developed by Murray Bowen, M.D., learning in a small group setting to think and act through the lens of family systems theory with clients, co-workers, family and intimates. Concepts studied in the group can be employed to promote more thoughtful problem-solving, improved emotional contact, and an increased sense of personal efficacy.

Course Content & Objectives
To provide education and consultation through the use of didactic materials and participant presentations for the advanced study of Bowen Family Systems Theory. This course is suitable for professionals and lay people interested in using theoretical principles to further their professional and personal development.
Refund/Cancellation Policy
After registration non-attendance is not grounds for refund except on a case-by- case basis. Contact Lorna for instructions regarding accommodations for disability. The program facility is ADA compliant. Course certificates of completion will be awarded on the premises at the completion of each 2 hour session of instruction upon submission of course evaluation. There are no activities included that are not offered for continuing education credit.
About Lorna
Lorna Hecht, MFT, MFC35604, CEPA #035339 | Clinical member of AAMFT and CAMFT
Lorna received her license in Marriage and Family Therapy in 1999 and has maintained a private practice since 1995. She has participated in advanced training in Bowen Family Systems Theory since 2006. Lorna attended Southern California Training in Bowen Theory from 2006 - 2015 for individual coaching and group consultation, and the Postgraduate Program at the Georgetown Center for the Study of the Family from 2012 - 2015.
CEU Eligibility
Each training session will be divided into one hour didactic and one hour of participant presentations. Lorna Hecht-Zablow, MFT, is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs. Lorna Hecht-Zablow, MFT maintains responsibility for this course and its content. These activities meet the qualifications for CEUs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
